The Trypsy app
Every mile has a story. Every exit has a gem.
Maps tell you where to turn. Trypsy tells you what's worth stopping for — the 4.8-star smokehouse two miles ahead, the swimming hole locals keep quiet about, the history hiding behind that historical marker you always blur past.
Safety, by name
Not a promise. A feature list.
Anyone can say “safety first.” Here is exactly how Trypsy looks out for you, mechanism by mechanism.
Share My ETA
“Hey Trypsy, share my ETA with Mom.” One phrase sends your route and arrival time to whoever should know where you are.
After-Dark Stops
Driving at night? Trypsy filters recommendations to well-reviewed, currently-open, well-trafficked stops — no gambles after sunset.
Rest-Break Reminders
On long hauls, Trypsy notices the miles and suggests a highly-rated break before fatigue does the deciding.
The Glovebox
Deals, QR codes, and anything visual wait in your digital glovebox until the car is parked. Nothing asks for your eyes at speed.
Wake-Word-Only Mic
The microphone listens for two words — “Hey Trypsy” — on your device. It starts processing your voice only after you call it.

Backseat Mode
Trypsy referees I-Spy with real landmarks ahead, 20 Questions, and junior road trivia — keeping the back seat happily occupied while your eyes stay on the road. The family peacekeeper, built in.
For the co-pilot
The person in the passenger seat picks the stop
Every road trip has a navigator — the one hunting for somewhere good, vetoing the sketchy gas station, refereeing the back seat. Trypsy was built for her too.
- ✓Passenger unlock: one tap opens the full visual map, deals, and passport while the car is moving — for passengers only.
- ✓Veto-proof stops: 4.0★+ ratings, confirmed open, real reviews — recommendations that survive the passenger-seat sniff test.
- ✓Elevated convenience: Trypsy favors the clean, welcoming, worth-the-stop places — boutique cafes and local kitchens over sad vending-machine plazas.
What we heard on the road
Built around what drivers told us
“You don't just get on the road — you take a Trypsy.”
“Give me the discounts and tell me it's actually good — I'm not scrolling reviews at 70 miles an hour.”
“I'm always the one hunting for the next stop from the passenger seat. A co-pilot that does the hunting? Yes, please.”
“If it only ever sends me to places with real ratings, then I'd trust it with the kids in the car.”
Leticia's words are shared with her permission. Other quotes are paraphrased from our concept-validation interviews, names changed — more founding-member stories arrive with launch.
Straight answers
The questions worth asking
›Is Trypsy always listening to me?
No. The wake word is detected on your phone, not our servers — like “Hey Siri.” Only after you say “Hey Trypsy” does the app process what you say, and that's what the mic indicator on your phone is showing you.
›Won't a talking app distract me?
Trypsy is built to be less distracting than what it replaces — a passenger scrolling reviews or a driver glancing at a screen. Everything is voice-first, visual elements lock away while you're moving, and rewards wait in the Glovebox until you're parked.
›Does it work with my maps and my podcasts?
Yes. Trypsy runs happily alongside Google Maps, Apple Maps, Spotify, and your podcast app. When it has something worth saying, it briefly lowers your audio, says it, and hands the sound right back.
›What happens to my data?
Your location powers recommendations in the moment. Analytics are anonymized — stripped of your name, email, and identity — and we never sell information that identifies you. You can delete your data anytime.
›What does it cost?
The full copilot experience is free. Premium ($4.99/month, cancel anytime) adds the studio voices, the ask-anything concierge, and offline route packs. Founding Members get Premium free for 30 days.
