Privacy Policy

Draft — pending legal review before app launch. Last updated July 2026.

The short version

Trypsy works by knowing roughly where you are and listening for the words “Hey Trypsy.” We take both of those seriously: the microphone processes your wake word on your device, location powering recommendations is used in the moment, and any data we analyze in aggregate is stripped of your identity first. We do not sell personally identifiable information. Ever.

What we collect on this website

If you join a waitlist, we collect the information you submit (name, email, and — for businesses and creators — business name, city, handle, or platform). We use it to contact you about Trypsy's launch and your account. You can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing privacy@trypsy.ai.

What the app will collect

  • Location:used in real time to power narrations and nearby recommendations within your chosen radius. Analytics use a coarsened (“fuzzed”) location, never your precise coordinates tied to your identity.
  • Voice: the wake word is detected on-device. Audio after the wake word is transcribed to answer your request; requests are logged without your name attached to improve the service.
  • Account & billing: handled by Stripe; Trypsy does not store your card number.

Aggregated insights

We may analyze and share aggregated, anonymized trends (for example, “drivers on this corridor frequently ask for coffee where none exists”). These insights never include names, emails, exact home locations, or anything that identifies an individual.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act and the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to opt out of certain processing. Contact privacy@trypsy.ai to exercise them.
